飯田 毅　特任教授
2019年度から2021年度まで学長。専門は応用言語学、特にメタ言語意識、留学、外国語教育、リーディング・スキル。近著に『高等学校英語検定教科書 My Way English Expression』（三省堂）など。
Tsuyoshi Iida is currently a specially-appointed professor in the Department of International　Studies, DWCLA. He is one of the founding members of the department and was a professor there until retirement in 2022. President of DWCLA, 2019-2021. His research interests cover metalinguistic awareness, study abroad, and reading skills. A specialist in foreign language education, recent publications include papers on ICT and English reading (2021), study abroad and second-language development, and the My Way English Expression high-school textbooks (Sanseido, 2021).

Kenichi Gatayama is a professor in the Department of International Studies, DWCLA, specializing in human geography and British studies. One of the founding members of DIS. His research focuses on traditional cultures, especially folk music in Sussex, southern England.Recent publications include a chapter on the politics of Christmas mummering and the representation of Turkish knights in Igirisu imēji ōdan: hyōshō to bungaku (Shumpusha, 2011)
and a paper on Hardy and music in Hardy Kenkyū (No. 43, 2017), the Bulletin of the Thomas Hardy Society of Japan.

専門は、異文化コミュニケーションと英語教育

現在の主な研究課題は、性格・情意要因が英語のスピーキングパフォーマンスや発音に与える影響とプロソディ指導の効果についてとリーダーシップトレーニングのためのプロジェクト構築

近著に、英語発音の指導ー基礎知識からわかりやすい指導法・使いやすい矯正方法までー（三修社, 2021）

欧米旅行記・ポストコロニアル論

現在の主な研究課題は、１８６０年代から１９４１年までの大日本帝国におけるインバウンド観光。近著に、戦前の観光とホスピタリティーについて Oxford Handbook of Tourism History のチャプター（共編, 2025年）など。

Andrew Elliott is a professor in the Department of International Studies, DWCLA. His present research focuses on inbound tourism in the Japanese empire from the 1860s to 1941. Recent publications include a chapter on hospitality and prewar tourism in the Oxford Handbook of Tourism History (2025).

現代日本文学・文化と女性
​専門は現代日本文学と精神分析論。現在の研究課題は女流文学。近著に、犬についての文学共訳 El Japón de los perros（Satori, 2020年）など。
Maria L. Correa is an associate professor in the Department of International Studies, DWCLA. She specializes in contemporary Japanese literature and psychoanalytic literary theory. Her current research focuses on women’s writing. Among her publications is the literary cotranslation El Japón de los perros (Satori, 2020).

現在の研究課題は、 幼少期の英語教育と異文化意識の推進、国際教養学科に共同研究課題は語彙習得方法と話すためのタスクと AI の活用に関する研究。最近の論文に「国際教養学科のカリキュラム更新のためのニーズ分析」（2023年）など。
Catherine Oki is an associate professor in the Department of International Studies (DIS), DWCLA. Her present research focuses on teaching English to very young learners, using English lessons as a means for intercultural awareness raising among kindergartners. She is also doing tasks and AI use. Recent publications include a paper on DIS Curriculum Building Through Needs Analysis (2023).
